I started my horticulture career at San Diego Botanic Garden where I was able to get a wide base of general plant knowledge. I eventually left the Botanic. Garden and started working at Rancho Soledad Nurseries, where I started doing more fieldwork and plant hybridizing. Additionally, I worked at Xeric Tissue. Culture while it was still operational and in 2018 I moved to Escondido to break ground on Hidden Agave.
There is a mountain in Oaxaca you could visit and see thousands of variations of a single agave species. There are many mountains like this in Mexico, and around the world, without easy access just calling for exploration. What's still hidden on this planet is a marvel waiting to be discovered.
